Learning and practicing English is one of the most important demands for international spouses. While you could practice English speaking with other members in every CISC activity, there are many English classes around Caltech.
Firstly, we have an English as the second language (ESL) class in CISC on every Tuesday morning. You may find more information on CISC website (caltechspousesclub.wix.com/cisc#!esl-class/onle4) or in our weekly newsletters.
Secondly, on the International Offices website, they list many other classes spouses could easily attend around Caltech:

1) Caltech ESL class on every Thursday afternoon
2) Advanced English literature class in Caltech on every Friday morning
3) Credit and non-credit ESL classes offered by Pasadena City College
4) English class offered by San Gabriel Valley Literacy Council
Most of the classes are free, and some of them are children welcome. Please read the instructions before attending the classes.
